Giving back to our communities has been at the core of VCC since the beginning. On this Giving Tuesday we want to share a few of the events we organized and attended throughout the year. Early in the year, our team was able to give to Homemakers of Hope in Tampa, who gives out furnishings to families that are financially struggling, and our Little Rock team participated in the Dragon Boat Festival to benefit Children's Protection Center. As the year went on, we held many office drives to gather items for various organizations such as the Humane Society of Little Rock and local Food Banks. In Houston, we walked at Light the Night for the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society, and finished out the year with chili cook offs in Atlanta and Little Rock benefitting local organizations. We were also able to sponsor several events this year such as the Alyssa V. Phillips Foundation's Rock n Roll for CP, Fight Night for the Dallas Catalyst Project, and Simon Youth Foundation to provide scholarships to at-risk youth.
Our 2018 VCC Cares Charity Golf Tournament had it's most successful year to date! We held events in Dallas, Little Rock, and Atlanta this year. Several charities benefit from each event including Arkansas Children's Hospital, Community Connections, Variety Texas, and Atlanta Ronald McDonald House. This year we raised over $375,000 from the tournament alone for these organizations.
