Yesterday, our Founder and CEO, Sam Alley, was awarded the 2019 Legacy Award from Junior Achievement of Arkansas. The Legacy Award Business Luncheon is the largest fundraiser for Junior Achievement as the proceeds are enough to invest in 8,000 students in Central Arkansas. It took place at Wyndham Riverfront Hotel Ballroom and several members of our team, as well as members of the Alley Family, were able to attend and show support for Sam.The program included a number of students from the Junior Achievement initiative sharing their stories and what JA means to them. Junior Achievement of Arkansas began in 1987, the same year that VCC opened it's doors. Since 2008 they have given awards to individuals who have displayed exceptional leadership in supporting academic excellence in Arkansas. You can watch this video to learn more about Sam's life and why supporting education is important to him https://vimeo.com/296433267. Thank you to Junior Achievement sponsors, committee, staff, and educators for honoring Sam with this prestigious award!
