AC Marriott Hotel in Little Rock, AR Wins the Associated Builders & Contractors of Arkansas 2020 Excellence in Construction Eagle Award in the Historical Restoration/Renovation over $5M Category.
We are thrilled to announce that we were presented with a 2020 Excellence In Construction Eagle Award from Associated Builders & Contractors of Arkansas in the Historical Restoration/Renovation Over $5M category for our work on restoring, renovating, and redeveloping the AC Marriott Hotel in Little Rock, AR!
The boutique hotel, which opened earlier this year, is located in the historic Hall and Davidson buildings. The Beaux Arts-style 5-story Hall building was built in 1923, with the Davidson annex added in 1947. Both buildings are on the National Register of Historic Places. The restoration/renovation included redeveloping over 82,000 SF into a European-inspired modern boutique hotel, but with many of the original features remaining. A few of the historical features are original marble walls, brass mail chute, and penny tile. We made repairs and cleaned the exterior veneers to restore the historical appearance of the building. The modern features include 114 rooms, business library, bar and lounge, store, handicap accessible rooms, new elevators, and fitness center. The ground floor is the hotel lobby with kitchen with an adjacent area for future tenants. We are appreciative to receive this Excellence In Construction Eagle Award for our hard work!
