Say hello to Natalie Bredeson, Instructional Designer and Trainer!
Natalie is a Little Rock native but has lived all over the US, and now lives here with her husband and 6 (yes, 6!) kids. She received a Bachelor’s degree from the University of Arkansas, a Masters in Management and Leadership from Liberty University, and is currently finishing her Doctoral degree from the University of Charleston.
We asked Natalie a few questions about working at VCC:

Have you always worked in construction?
I have never worked in construction before, so a lot of this is new to me! I have spent the past 12 years working in training development and eLearning in the military environment. As a civilian contractor for the Department of Defense, I developed training and training management systems for the Army National Guard, Air Force, and Navy, and managed the Learning Management System for the National Guard.

How long have you worked at VCC?
I just started in May, so 3 months.

What is a typical day like for you?
So far, there has not been a typical day, which is nice! With training, you are always building something new or trying to solve a new issue so it makes every day interesting.

What do you want others to know about working at VCC?
There are so many moving parts to this company; I never realized how complex the processes could be in large-scale construction. VCC cares about its employees, and that means a lot to me.

Are there any lessons that you have learned either personally or professionally that you would like to share?
Training is essential in every industry and is necessary for growth. Thanks to emerging technologies, we are able to utilize new platforms to make training more accessible and engaging for everyone.
