It is with warmth and sincere appreciation that we send off a true leader at VCC, Donna Bean, as she retires after nearly 25 years of dedicated service.
Throughout her tenure, Donna played an essential role in shaping VCC in countless ways, and we cannot thank her enough for the impact she has made. Over the many years she led our Human Resources department, Donna helped define and strengthen the culture of VCC. From recruiting and onboarding—long before we had a dedicated recruiter—to helping each new employee understand what #TeamVCC represents, Donna ensured that every individual felt welcomed and valued as part of our VCC family.
Donna was instrumental in building the Human Resources department from the ground up, overseeing policies, employee handbooks, compliance, and payroll. Her commitment, knowledge, and leadership laid the foundation that continues to support our team today.
As one colleague shared:
“Throughout my time working with Donna at VCC, she’s been a steady source of guidance, encouragement, and trust. She is a great leader, and her confidence in me has shaped how I show up as a professional. I’m truly blessed and grateful for her mentorship and the example she set for everyone every day. Her impact on my growth will stay with me long after her retirement. We love you, Donna!”
Please join us in thanking Donna for her years of hard work, dedication, welcoming smile, and always-open door. She will be greatly missed, and we wish her nothing but the best in this well-earned next chapter.
